Thanks for voting, and we will be back

THE election is concluded and the people have spoken. I extend my sincere thanks to those who voted for me, on behalf of their country and future generations, for whom we are custodians.

It was a credible first-time result and it has sent an appropriate signal.

To those who could not yet bring themselves to vote for my party, I thank them for kindly considering my election materials and for the politeness and friendliness that invariably greeted me on the doorstep.

Alas, little will change, as voters will discover.

Our cultural heritage and identity will continue to submit to multiculturalism, our nation will become increasingly run by the EU, the war in Afghanistan will become intractable, our companies will continue to be pillaged by foreign corporations, our manufacturers will continue their decline because of globalisation.

The direct cost to the taxpayer is many tens of billions; the indirect cost is hundreds of billions.

The Lib/Lab/Con parties dared not debate such issues. Nor will their MPs address them. The election has therefore addressed nothing, nationally or locally.

Politicians' promises will quickly be forgotten. There will be a dire austerity programme, to pay for the untouchable, politically-correct agenda to which all parties subscribe, our own MP included, and which I identify above.

We shall be back.
