Value for money?

A GREAT many people in Bexhill consider the £500,000 grant made each year to the De La Warr Pavilion is wildly excessive and that it should be reduced.

Rother District Council is being urged to keep paying it and instead of using the £25,000 set aside each year for ensuring local satisfaction with the amenity, to use that sum instead to promote the Next Wave seafront scheme.

The idea of cutting costs and getting value for money doesn’t seem to enter their heads.
