Work from grassroots upwards

PLAINLY, those who say we should provide houses for people on the waiting list, and those who object to Littlehampton swallowing the whole of Wick, are both righ.

The present situation arises from our creating a European, and indeed global "society", that no government can possibly manage.

Fifty years ago, the population of Arun was quite enough. If houses had been built only for local demand, there would not be a waiting list, and Littlehampton and villages would still be sensible-sized communities.
