STUART McGINLEY: Jailbreak challenge for '˜fantastic cause'

I've had another very busy week at Spirit FM making plans for our 20th birthday party '˜Rewind at the Races' at Fontwell Park on Friday April 29.

The night features The Take That Experience and myself on stage with my colleagues Ian Crouch and Kate Goddard and playing some cheesy party tunes – what could possibly go wrong?!

There’s another great charity event coming up in the spring called the Jailbreak Challenge in aid of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust and organised by the Checkatrade Foundation.

We are looking for teams of four

to sign up for the Jailbreak event on Sunday May 22.

The idea is simple, the teams will all be dropped off at a secret location across the county with the aim of getting to the target ‘hideout’ in the fastest time. Simple, eh? Not quite, as

they won’t have any money or mobile phones to help, oh and they will also be in fancy dress!

All ‘prisoners’ will be given a swag bag to help them on their way which will include hints and tips on how to get

to the hideout. Spirit FM will also be presenting live throughout the day, following teams and finding out about their progress. Our listeners will be encouraged to give them some help, to look out and phone in when spotted.

There are also some great prizes on offer; Best Route Back, Best Dressed Team, Fastest Team Back and one for the Last Team Back! This is all for a great local cause, the Sussex Snowdrop Trust through the Checkatrade Foundation, which was founded to help those in need, in particular children whether they are abroad, based nationally or closer

to home.

Snowdrop is a fantastic cause based locally that provides care at home for children with life-threatening illnesses, providing nurses and financial help for their families.
