Yoga has no place in a Christian church

YOUR sensationalist headline, "Church Bans Unchristian Yoga", Worthing Herald, September 13, would not have similarly criticised other faiths.

It seems to me that our now ABC society (Anything But Christian), does not know what core faith values are.

As Christians, we have a right to defend our biblical truths from the "pick and mix" of religious philosophies.

We are supposedly a free democratic society and, as such, should adhere to our beliefs.

Most people have little or no Christian background and Christians are increasingly marginalised in our society.

There is a hankering after spirituality e.g., astrology, crystals and spirit guides, but not the gospel.

Yoga does worship postures to other gods, Hindu and Buddhist, and has no place in our Christian faith.

I applaud the Rev James Bamber of Offington Park Methodist Church for banning them as has happened in other parts of the country.
