Pebsham couple '˜shaken' after burglar broke in while they slept
The burglary took place between 11.30pm on Friday and 8.20am Saturday last weekend (June 29/30) at the house in Martyns Way. Police believe that entry was gained by some form of instrument being inserted through the letterbox and used to flick down the inside handle.
A Sony television was stolen, along with a handbag containing a mobile phone, cash and keys to a car that was in a garage in the driveway.

Hide AdPC Elise Beckham said: “The owners are understandably shaken by what happened. We are not sure how many were involved in the burglary, but we would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area overnight on Friday.
“In particular, we’d also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the stolen car, a pale blue Ford Fusion Zetec, registration AD53 SMS.”

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a property in Sea Road, Bexhill, that happened between Tuesday, June 26 and Tuesday this week, July 3.
