As part of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s celebrations on July 5, it is asking residents to send in short messages of thanks.

This can be done via video message – filmed in landscape on a mobile phone or tablet, with you or your family’s message of no more than 10 seconds.

Or you can send in photos – of an individual or socially distanced group landscape photo, with a drawn or written message of thanks.

These video clips and images will be used on the trust’s social media channels over the anniversary weekend.

The 72nd anniversary comes at a fitting time, and is another opportunity to thank our NHS staff who have been working their socks off during the coronavirus pandemic.

If you would like to get involved, email video clips or images to [email protected] by midnight on June 29, stating your name and the town or village you come from.

With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers.

Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.
