Dead dolphin spotted on Selsey beach

A dead dolphin was spotted washed up on the beach in Selsey this morning (Saturday, December 19).

Selsey Coastguard Rescue Team reported the find on its Facebook page.

It said it receoved reports that the dolphin was spotted on West Beach, Selsey just after 11am.

On its Facebook page, it said: “Unfortunately the team were unable to take measurements and details as the tide had come in and taken the dolphin out to sea.

“If you see it washed up please call the Coastguard so we can take the details and Solent Coastguard can then arrange for the collection of the dolphin for further investigations or to be collected and disposed of by the council.”
