On the page, she said: “Meghan lit up any room she was in with her beautiful smile and her contagious laugh.

“She was such a popular girl and had lots of friends but unfortunately because of the pandemic she will not receive the funeral she deserves.

“A week after losing Meghan, just as things couldn’t have got much worse, we found out Meghan was five months pregnant with a beautiful baby boy that she was unaware of.

“We have the money for the funeral but would love to get a gravestone and a place to remember Meghan and her baby, a place where us as a family and her friends can visit, and be with them together.

“Thank you to all of our family and friends for the support at this sad time.”

She said Meghan was travelling home from a night shift with a colleague as a passenger in a car when the collision happened.

Emergency services were called to the scene near to the entrance of Folkington Manor at 5.24am where a Ford Ka had been in collision with a Ford Transit van.
The driver of the Ka, a 27-year-old man from Hastings, and the driver of the Transit, a 54-year-old man from Polegate, were taken to hospital with critical injuries.
