Memory walk at Bosham nursing home raises £650 for Alzheimer’s Society
Staff and residents at Kings Lodge Nursing Home in Bosham took part in a memory walk on Saturday to honour friends and family who have passed away in the past year and have raised £650 for the Alzheimer’s Society in the process.
Everyone completed at least one lap of the home’s garden, but special mention must got to resident Audrey Bliss who managed 115 laps.
Activities manager Kerry-Ann Haley said: “We wanted to do something special for our residents, as well as raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which is a charity close to all of our hearts.
“Within a week of setting up our JustGiving page we had already hit our target of £300 thanks to Richard Ernest, founder of RemPods and Dragons’ Den winner. He certainly got the ball rolling.
“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support, donations and well wishes.”

In order for us to continue to provide high quality and trusted local news, I am asking you to please purchase a copy of our newspapers.
With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers.
Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.
