Each year Matthew Cooke, the organist from St Mary’s Church, takes to the streets to raise money for the children’s hospice by busking.

Due to the pandemic Matthew is taking his musical performance online to the St Mary’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Matthew said: “I didn’t want to let everyone down by not performing this year as it has become a regular event but, at the same time, I didn’t want to put anyone at risk by taking up vital social distancing space on a pavement so the obvious thing to do was to take it online as the Church has all the facilities to do this. It also means a lot to me personally to help raise vital funds for this amazing charity, Chestnut Tree House, who support local families here in Petworth and throughout Sussex.”
