Southern colleagues wanted to show their appreciation for fellow key workers by taking advantage of empty timetable poster frames and filling them with messages.

Platform assistant Karl Wingate, 22, produced the rainbow poster designs and they were put up around the station with help from colleagues Gill English, who works in the ticket office, and Jethro Kandasamy, who works on the ticket gate.

Area station manager Robert Walker said: “I am very proud of the Barnham team. Karl is a perfect example of great spirit and attitude.”
