Rumours of Midhurst farmers’ market dispelled by Chichester council

Rumours of a farmers’ market being held this Sunday in Midhurst have been dispelled by Chichester District Council.

In a statement on Twitter a council spokesman said: “Rumours are circulating that a farmers’ market is taking place in North St car park #Midhurst on Sunday. This is not the case.”

Permission has not been given for any market to take place, he added.

The spokesman said: “We’ve sent our civil enforcement officers to investigate.”
