Rosie Turner, 89, who is known as ‘Granny Rosie’, played ‘We’ll Meet Again’ in tribute to the NHS at her keyboard, which was brought out onto a street corner.

The performance was filmed by her granddaughter Martha Mosse, while neighbour Peter Flude took photos.

Granny Rosie’s daughter-in-law, the well-known author Kate Mosse, posted a video clip of the performance on her Twitter feed, describing Granny Rosie as ‘legendary’.

She added that neighbours ‘danced and sang’ along to the tune.

In December, Granny Rosie was presented with a Local Hero Award by this newspaper for the extravagant window displays she knits for the Chestnut Tree Hospice.
