FRIENDS and supporters joined members of Petworth Community Garden to celebrate the tenth birthday of the project.

Kate Brickell, garden education and project coordinator told the Observer: “It was a very wet day and we were huddling under a gazebo a fair bit of the time, but we managed to have a lovely time despite that and we had a great turnout of friends families, supporters and local organisations who came along to see what we get up to.

“We were also absolutely swimming in cakes for everyone to enjoy, as local businesses had donated some and then a neighbouring allotment holder came along with more trays more which was fantastic.”

Among the guests was a representative of Comic Relief which is supporting the Tuesday group.
