Petworth to host Farmers Market

The Petworth Farmers Market will be offering a range of meat, fish, cheese, bread, cakes, hand-made chocolates, savoury quiches and pies, vegetables, plants and more this Saturday.

The market will be open from 9am until 1pm on March 24.

Visitors can then pop into the Leconfield Hall for crafts and gifts, before warming up with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake baked and served by local community organisations.

Chris Kemp, chairman of Petworth Town Council, said: “Now in its third year, Petworth Farmers Market has become a vibrant market bringing the best seasonal produce to town from local growers and artisans. The addition of an indoor craft and gift market and tearoom in the Leconfield Hall have turned the event into a veritable community hub, a place to catch up with friends and neighbours. Our popular Farmers Market is what Petworth is all about – improving facilities for residents and visitors and it really brings the Market Square to life!”
