Petworth photographer at Weald and Downland museum

A SELECTION of photographs by Petworth author and amateur photographer David Johnston are set to go on display at the Weald and Downland Museum.

The exhibition, organised by staff at the West Sussex Record Office in Chichester, will feature images taken of the countryside between 1985 and 2000.

Among the exhibits will be images of old barns and farm buildings, photographed as part of a project to create a historical record of buildings that are so often lost through decay, demolition or conversion.

David, who lives in Petworth, said: “It is both pleasing and an honour to see a selection of these photographs chosen for this exhibition.”

The exhibition runs from Monday, July 14 to July 28, from 11am-4pm, in the Crawley Hall at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.

The photographs will be available to buy as framed prints from
