Police said the offenders went into the garden of the property while the home owner was out and forced a door to get in. Once inside they stole jewellery, including a distinctive gold-plated Gucci watch with a yellow strap.

Detective constable Gavin Percival, of the Priority Crime Team, Bognor Regis, said: “If you were in this area at the time and saw anything suspicious please do not hesitate to contact police.”
