Police appeal for witnesses after two people seriously injured in Fernhurst crash


UPDATE: POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two people were seriously injured in a crash near Fernhurst yesterday (Wednesday July 16).

Emergency services were called at 12.45pm to Henley Hill on the A286 to a black Honda CRV which had left the road, collided with a tree and overturned.

The two people in the car, a 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old from Haslemere were taken to St George’s Hospital in London.

The woman was flown by air ambulance. Both have serious injuries.

Sgt Stewart Goodwin said: “The fire service attended and removed the passenger from the car and the road was closed for two and a half hours while emergency services were on the scene. We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Romsey on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk”
