A number of incidents have been reported to the Midhurst policing team, so residents are being urged to check their properties and report anything suspicious.

Between October 18 and October 19, an unlocked vehicle was entered and tools were stolen, including a Whacker trench compactor, a Stihl petrol saw and a petrol water pump.

Windscreen wipers were stolen from another vehicle on the same evening.

A garage was also entered and had a chainsaw stolen, a shed had a bike stolen and a separate home was entered and a chainsaw was stolen.

A police spokesman said: “These were all different victims. We are asking residents check their properties and if they are a victim of crime please report it to us via 101. Also, if you have any information regarding the crimes committed please call 101 quoting reference 0693 19/10 – report suspicious sightings, or anything that looks out of place even if you think it is nothing.”
