Police release image after assault

CCTV images of a man police want to speak to in connection with an assault in Bognor Regis

The victim was attacked in Marine Park Gardens as he was walking home from an evening out at around 11.45pm on Wednesday, June 19.

In a renewed appeal for information today (Wednesday, July 17), Detective Constable Ceri Spratt from West Sussex CID said: “This is a particularly concerning attack, as it would appear it was totally unprovoked and has left the victim requiring surgery for serious facial injuries.

“We need to find who is responsible for this violent assault and have released CCTV images in the hope we can speak to the man in the images in order to eliminate him from our enquiries.

“If you recognise the man in the images or have any information that could help officers with their enquires then please call 101 quoting serial 1782 of 19/6 or leave an anonymous message with the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
