Officers from the Midhurst and Petworth neighbourhood policing team have been out in force checking roads in the area for speeders and other motoring offences.
The team from Operation Airwalk have been out in New Road at Midhurst with mobile speed cameras.
During the course of the operation they stopped some 20 drivers, most of whom opted to watch a safety awareness video rather than risk points on their licence in court.
They have also been in action in conjunction with the West Sussex Fire and Rescue service at Loxwood where villagers have long been concerned about speeding motorists through the village and have pressed for speed reduction measures.
Officers have also targeted the notorious A285 at Duncton where in a period of some six hours they stopped 48 drivers who took the option to watch the video.
