Prior boost for Sussex ahead of t20 quarter-final

SUSSEX Sharks have received a massive boost as they attempt to make the Friends Life t20 finals day tonight as Matt Prior is available for their clash against Gloucestershire Gladiators at Hove.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Prior has had confirmation from the England management that he will be available for the game, whilst Scott Styris is included as he continues his recovery from a thumb injury picked up in the group stages.

Sussex have announced their full 14-man squad for their televised quarter-final clash which takes place at The PROBIZ County Ground from 7.10pm.

The Sharks won the South Group stage of the tournament, winning six of their games and they topped the table by two points from Hampshire Royals, remaining unbeaten until the final round of matches.

Victory tonight will seal their passage to finals day which takes place at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff next month.

Theywelcome a Gloucestershire side to Hove that finished second in the Midlands/Wales/West Group and can include legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan amongst their ranks.

The Sussex squad includes Amjad Khan, Will Beer, Ben Brown, Joe Gatting, Murray Goodwin, Naveed Arif Gondal, Chris Liddle, Matt Machan, Chris Nash, Prior,

Michael Rippon, Styris, Luke Wright and captain Mike Yardy.
