Pulborough residents' success in footpath campaign

A FOOTPATH row in Pulborough has been resolved after West Sussex County Council agreed that work to improve the route will start this week, weather permitting.

The decision follows a concerted action by residents to have much needed improvements made to Footpath 2327 from Pulborough Station to Church Place. They were furious about lack of main tenance along the route and had issued an ultimatum to the county council to reveal its intentions on repair and maintenance to the well-used footpath.

Resident Brendan Johnson of Lyntons, Pulborough, had voluntarily devoted around 240 hours of work on path clearance there since he moved to Pulborough last August - and said other residents have also been working on the route.
