Rail disruption continues following landslips

TRAIN services on the Hastings to London line remain severely affected this morning (Friday) after wet weather caused landslips at Battle and Crowhurst yesterday.

Train services between London Charing Cross and Hastings via Tonbridge may be cancelled, delayed or revised at short notice.

Buses are replacing trains between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings until further notice.

Network Rail is working to clear the line, but train operator Southeastern is warning passengers that it is unlikely that services will be able to run between Robertsbridge and Hastings this morning.

Southern Railway is accepting Southeastern tickets from Hastings to Ashford.

Passengers are being advised to check live running information on the Southeastern website before travelling.
