Raising the roof celebration at new medical centre

A £4.5 million state-of-the -art medical centre is on target to open its doors in Pulborough on August 13, following nine years of planning.

On Friday a 'raising the roof ceremony celebrated progress in the scheme and guests were able to see the basic building which will bring a wide range of facilities under one roof to the site in London Road.

The former Spiro Gills site, which the new centre will share with Tesco, a 60-bed nursing home and some housing, was the third to be looked at by Pulborough Medical Group, formed from the merging of two doctors' practices in the village.
