Rededication service

FIVE headstones vandalised at Broadwater Cemetery in Worthing earlier this year were rededicated at a special ceremony and open day.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) has been closely involved in the unique project, after learning about the damage to the war graves in January.

They paid for the replacement headstones and its skilled craftsmen were finishing them as part of the open day activities last Wednesday.

The headstones were re-dedicated as part of a special service conducted by the Rev David Farrant, padre to Worthing's Combined Ex-Services Association (CESA).
