Road closed in Midhurst as firefighters called to ‘dangerous structure’

Two fire engines from Midhurst were sent to reports of a dangerous structure in the town yesterday evening.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to make the structure at a domestic property in Duck Lane safe.

Rumbolds Hill was closed for some time while the work was carried out.

At just before 10pm, a spokesman from Midhurst fire station tweeted: “The dangerous structure in Duck Lane has been successful made safe.

“All appliances have left the scene and the road has reopened.”
