Rother inspector leaves after seven years in the district

Inspector James Scott, who was in charge of the Rother District Neighbourhood Policing Team, left the role last week.

Insp Scott said: “I have been working on Rother district for the last seven years, completing differing roles at the inspector rank.

“During this time, I have seen a great deal of change across the district in how my teams have been set up and deployed, in order to deliver the best possible service to the communities they serve.

“Neighbourhood policing is the cornerstone of policing and I like to think that my teams are able to make a difference, especially with the partnership working that is now involved behind the scenes.

“My new role will be managing the response policing across East Sussex, so I will still be working closely with my colleagues based on Rother District.

“May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support of their local teams.”

It is not yet known who is taking over Insp Scott’s vacated role.
