Rustington man's enthusiasm serves up catering "Oscar"

Kevin Logan, who manages a team of 215 people and contracts worth #10m, was named best contract catering district manager at the industry's Cost Sector Catering Awards.

More than 800 people from across the catering industry attended the awards ceremony at London's Metropole Hotel, where Kevin, 37, received his trophy from guest presenter Cheryl Baker, of Bucks Fizz .

Kevin was nominated by his employer, BaxterStorey, the UK's leading independent food service provider for business and industry.

As an operations manager, he is responsible for the management of 12 of the company's major accounts throughout Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey.

The company operates employee restaurants and executive dining rooms for more than 500 businesses across the UK, including Barclays, ITV, Selfridges, and Virgin Atlantic.

At the awards ceremony, the judging panel applauded Kevin's ability to interpret client requirements, lead his team and build and retain business.

Kevin said afterwards: "This is such a great moment in my career '“ it certainly makes all of the hard work well worth it.

"To know that you're efforts are recognised by your employer and judged as a leading performance in front of hundreds of your peers makes me feel so proud.
