Safety plea fails

A HEATHFIELD man who was hit on the arm by a passing car has been told by East Sussex County Council that the road in question does not qualify for road calming measures.

Brian Hamper, of Tilsmore Road, last week received a letter from the county telling him that there had been 'no reported injury accidents' on the road which has no pavements in the past three years.
