School opens design centre

In the past year, the school has raised 35,000 to enable the project to go ahead and has received support from parents, former pupils, suppliers and educational trusts.

The fund-raising programme was driven by the chairman of the governing body, who formed a dedicated committee to manage the project.

Headmaster Ian Graham said: 'I am delighted that we achieved our fund-raising target so quickly and would like to thank all those who supported the appeal.

'There is no doubt that a modern and well-equipped design centre will help us to extend the range of opportunities in design and technology for the benefit of all our boys.'
