School rewarded for high standards

A Felpham school has achieved national recognition for its work in the three Rs.

Bishop Tufnell CE Infant School has been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark. Sue Nicholson, the regional director of the Basic Skills Agency, presented the award at an assembly. It followed a visit to the school by an external assessor who spent time in its classrooms and evaluating its paperwork.

The school successfully achieved all ten elements of the quality mark for its work with reading, writing, spelling and maths.
