SEAFORD College housemaster Matthew Pitteway completed his second marathon in two weeks when he crossed the line in the London Marathon in under four hours.
Matthew has been fundraising with pupils in his House for Whizzkidz, a charity supporting disabled children.
As part of his fundraising so far this year, he has run two half marathons at Wokingham and Richmond in just over one-and-a-half hours for each, the Brighton Marathon, the Chichester Corporate Challenge and the London Marathon.
“Throughout all of this I have been receiving sponsorship from colleagues, students and parents of the boys in my House,” said Matthew.
“I am very close to achieving my target now of £1,600 and hope over the next few days the pledges I received will start coming in to take me over the total.
“The London Marathon was an incredible experience.
“The crowds of runners were awe-inspiring. Similarly, the crowds of spectators lining the streets really kept us all going.”
His next two challenges, for which he is already in training, are a cycle challenge around the coast of the Isle of Wight in June and a walking challenge – the National Three Peaks in July.
