Second chance for Bognor Birdman

Birdmen may get a second chance to jump off Bognor Regis pier.

Bad weather caused the Bognor International Birdman event on July 16-17 to be cancelled.

But organisers hope it might be possible to stage a second event on August Bank Holiday (Monday, August 29).

This would give contestants in the flamboyant Kingfisher Class a chance to take their leap of faith off the pier.

However, last weekend’s heavy rain and strong winds did not stop one contestant taking a dip for charity.
