AGM’s: There have been lots of Annual General Meetings taking place over the last few weeks and it is heartening that many people in the village turn out on a cold autumn, or is it winter yet, evening to show their support for the work being undertaken by the various committees on their behalf. We recently held the Friends of the Church AGM and were pleased to welcome Reg Glew and Pauline Williams as additions to the committee. It is so important to any group in the village to have volunteers who are willing to come and contribute their ideas, time and enthusiasm towards the aims of the group or society. Long may it continue as it makes our village one of the most vibrant and interesting in the area and that is all due to you.

IN NEED OF FUNDS?: It is some time since Hooe’s Old Motor Club show was held in August. The time has now come to distribute surplus funds raised on that day. Clubs and organisations in the area are invited to submit requests if they are in need of funds. Please write to Chris Hone, c/o Hooe’s Old Motor Club, Marwin Farm, Marley Lane, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0RE, before December 1 2014 enclosing a brief note as to why your organisation should be considered. Requests will be discussed at the next committee meeting in January, 2015.

IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT coming up in the local area or would like to have a small piece, outlining your club or organisation aims, activities, membership etc. then please contact me by email to [email protected] or by calling 870344. Please allow a couple of weeks notice before an event to allow for full coverage
