Slindon pumpkins highlight a threat
Slindon's pumpkin display for 2016 sees it work to highlight '˜the threat to our native species'.
Created in association with the Sussex wildlife trust, the mural called ‘The birds and the bees’, features brightly coloured bees and flowers.
Local artist, and installer, Mark Ford took ten days to make the work which measures 4m x 6m.
He said: “Due to the steep angle of the frame and the weight of the fruit each pumpkin is secured in place by two or three willow and hazel stakes.”
The display is free to view until the end of November.
