Normal rules were thrown out of the window at Petworth House over the school half-term holiday.
As part of a host of new activities laid on for visitors at the start of a new season, the National Trust had given over an entire room for the creative skills of younger visitors.
Through their ‘Outside Inside’ project children were given a giant white canvas and asked to recreate their own version of spring time in the park in the room.
And they did not disappoint, painting on the walls, the floors and even on the table tops and creating a huge mural of what they had seen outside in the park.
During the half term holiday there was also a chance to peep below stairs where the annual spring clean was masterminded and stargaze with an expert at the ‘Nightwatch on the South Downs’ event and watch a guided laser show.
