Stedham campsite is officially reopened

The revamped Midhurst Youth Trust camp site at Stedham has been officially opened by representatives of the trusts which saved it after it was closed and by West Sussex County Council.

Stewart Grimshaw representing the Monument Trust and Tony Bolton from the Boltini Trust (pictured) stepped in to buy the site and replace the derelict buildings with oak barns. Chairman of the youth trust Colin Hughes: “They have made it possible for this much loved site to remain in use and provide educational opportunities for young people and adults.” Tony Bolton said he and Stewart Grimshaw were delighted to ‘put something back into our community’.
