A STEDHAM family are appealing for help after their pet parrot has gone missing.

Evie is an 11-year-old African grey parrot, missing since May 22.

Owner Maggie Hobday said: “Evie was eight weeks old when I brought her home and it will be her eleventh birthday next week.

“She was initially spotted in Grange Road, Midhurst and was last seen in Ashfield Road last Monday.

“She will be very vulnerable in the wild, unable to forage having been used to food being served up.

“Parrots are great fun as pets but extremely hard work as they enjoy a lot of attention but can get easily stressed if put in new situations.

“They tend to bond with only one or two people and will be missing both my son and myself. She will talk mostly shouting at the dogs.

“Evie is likely to be hanging around houses, looking for food and water.”

If seen, please call Maggie on 07504 281938.
