THE Loxwood Joust is set to provide two weekends of unrivalled medieval fun.

On the first and second weekend of August Loxwood Meadow, between Wisborough Green and Loxwood, will be taken over by a spectacular medieval festival in aid of The Dame Vera Lynn Trust and Chestnut Tree House.

It will include jousting tournaments, live music, traditional activities and sports and specialist traders in the Medieval Market Place.

Each day from 10am-6pm, there will be jousting tournaments and displays of weaponry, archery and cannon fire.

The main stage features the acclaimed singing group the Medieval Baebes.

There will be a living history village in the ‘Medieval Meadow’ – an authentic recreation of a mediaeval battle camp.

The Court Jester and dance troupes will entertain and visitors can try their hand at archery while youngsters head for the Children’s Kingdom. Anyone brave enough can also speak to the executioner and discuss the art of torture.
