WITH only a few weeks to go before the start of Midhurst’s ten day MADhurst festival and the carnival procession finale on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, groups and individuals are being urged to join in the fun.
The theme of the carnival is ‘a walk on the wild side’ and this year there will also be a competition for the best decorated umbrella.
Carnival coordinator, for the town council The Rev David Coote said: “just come along suitably equipped to enter.”
The judge will be Melanie Burgoyne – Chichester District Council’s rural town co-ordinator and there will be two prizes one for children and one for adults with no age limit.
“Already many people have said that they will be participating in the procession which starts at midday from Church Hill and ends at the Midhurst Sports Association ground,” said Mr Coote, “If individuals or groups would like to join in, I will send an entry form.”
