STRICTLY Come Dancing returns to our screens this Saturday and the following Monday Strictly Salsa will be quick-stepping its way to Chichester.
Professional dancer Lemon, from Chichester, has helped train many of the celebrities who have appeared on the hit BBC 1 show.
Now together with her partner Richard Marcel, Strictly’s chief choreographer, they are bringing Strictly Salsa to the Vestry in Chichester with the aim of teaching people to dance just like the celebrities they watch on TV.
“We’re both really excited about bringing our Strictly classes to Chichester, we want to turn it into a dancing town,” said former Fishbourne Primary and Bishop Luffa School pupil Lemon, who has also worked on a host of prime-time shows.
A special launch night is being held this Monday, September 8, where free mojitos will be served and as well as having a go, a special Strictly demonstration will be performed and could include a few familiar faces.
“We’re hoping to make this Monday a bit special and a real party,” said Richard. “It’s the first time we’ve done this sort of thing so it’s something of an exclusive.
“We are all really excited about it and we hope everyone in Chichester will be just as excited about learning to dance.”
The classes will then take place every Monday night at the Vestry on South Street and cost £7 per person per session.
And you can read all about Lemon in a special feature in this week’s paper, which came out on Thursday.
