Stunning moon over Battle
Battle reader Dr Peter Green captured this amazing haloed moon as he walked home from a Photographic Club meeting in Battle on Monday night.
He said: “I saw this beautiful sight in the sky, caused by the reflection of sunlight from the full moon through hexagonal ice crystals in the atmosphere. I rushed out and set up my camera on a tripod and took several images, of which this was the most promising. The white dot at ‘10 o’clock’ is the planet Jupiter.”
