For nearly 50 years, Robin Upton’s family has created stunning murals made from pumpkins and squashes to wow the crowds in Slindon.

Initially started in 1968 by Robin’s father Ralph, Robin carries on the tradition, with each year having a unique theme.

This year, Robin has opted for an RNLI theme, with pumpkins and squashes forming a lifeboat to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The decision has already been met with delight by the RNLI, with the organisation taking to Twitter to declare the display ‘absolutely marvellous’.

The pumpkins and squashes are on sale from the base in Top Road, Slindon.
