Sussex Police and West Sussex County Council have money with collapsed Icelandic bank

BOTH Sussex Police Authority and West Sussex County Council have millions deposited in the UK arm of one of Iceland's collapsed banks.

Sussex Police Authority has 6.8 million in Heritable, a UK based subsidiary of Landsbanki, where accounts have been frozen, and West Sussex County Council has 12.9 million also with Heritable.

Both have said that delay in repayment of the deposits or even their loss will not have any impact on day to day services.
