On Sunday, September 20, St Andrew’s Church in Tangmere will hold its annual Battle of Britain memorial service at 11am.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the battle, 461 (Chichester) Squadron of the Air Training Corps will be attending with their band, as well as members of the Tangmere Aviation Museum volunteers and friends of St Andrew’s.

The whole community is invited to attend the service and afterwards, the congregation will go outside to lay wreaths at the war graves.

Close to 50 of the famous planes will take flight from Goodwood Aerodrome today (September 15) to mark the 75th anniversary of a key victory in the battle on September 15, 1940.
