Thief raids vehicle parked in East Preston

POLICE have launched a hunt for a thief who stole a number of valuable items from a car in East Preston on Friday (September 12).

The incident took place between 3pm and 3.20pm, while the vehicle was parked in Sea Road.

No damage was done to the vehicle during the crime.

However, the thief stole a number of items, which included £500 cash, an iPod, tickets to Goodwood, £500-worth of books and a holdall containing £1,000- worth of photographs waiting to be autographed.

PCSO Michelle Davies is now appealing for help in tracing the thief and the stolen goods.

She said: “This was a very small time frame. Anyone with any information should call 101, quoting serial 0977 12/09/14.”

Police advise residents to make sure they always lock their vehicles.

The force also urged people to never leave valuable items on display.
