Three incidents keep firefighters busy on Valentine’s Day

A MAN was taken to hospital after a car crash on the A272 on Thursday, February 14.

A car was in collision with a small van just before 2pm at Lodsworth.

Firefighters from Midhurst and Petworth spent half an hour making the scene safe.

Two chimney fires also kept fire crews busy on the same day.

Crews from Midhurst were called to a house in Kings Drive in Easebourne at 5.45pm to extinguish a chimney blaze.

And just after 8pm two teams from Petworth headed to a home in London Road, Northchapel, to put out a fire.
