When Roger Morgan-Grenville decided to spend the year running, he was talking quite literally.
For the 52-year-old managing director of Midhurst-based company Dexam has set himself the challenge of running 2,012 kilometres in 2012 as part of his pledge to raise £10,000 for charity.
And Roger, who lives in Tillington, is already nearing the half-way stage of his feat. He has so far run 950k (595 miles) in 120 days – the equivalent of Lands End to Perth or 22 marathons.
He is hoping to complete the challenge by the end of September, and aims to run the last mile in Petworth Park with as many of his sponsors as he can persuade to put on their trainers.
He aims to raise £10,000 for Kidney Cancer (UK) in memory of a friend who died.
